AXOFT Company held a partnership seminar with Trend Micro and Paessler vendors

AXOFT, one of the key suppliers in Ukraine of software solutions for the engineering infrastructure, information security and software development solutions, held an annual partnership seminar for its key partners.

The event was held with the participation and assistance of the world famous vendors Trend Micro and Paessler. Already traditional annual seminars gathered partners this year to discuss new products and Trend Micro solutions, as well as discuss new features and updates in the Paessler PRTG product solution.

Representatives of vendor companies that took part in the event were happy to share information about plans for the current year, prospects for cooperation with partners, as well as about the latest achievements of the company.

So, Roman Chernenky, Trend Micro Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova regional customer service manager told the guests of the event about Trend Micro’s achievements in the field of corporate data protection and cybersecurity for business. One of the company’s new products is Deep Security Smart Check, which helps DevOps specialists ensure the security of container images in the software development environment, thanks to fast and continuous scanning for threats and vulnerabilities. The Smart Check solution is optimized for leading container platforms. The solution reduces the likelihood of disrupting the development schedule and disruptions in general.

Julia Miro, business development manager at Paessler, spoke about the need and versatility of the PRTG solution, which allows IT professionals to know at any time what is happening in their entire IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, equipment, applications and devices. PRTG Network Monitor monitors the entire IT infrastructure around the clock and alerts you to problems before they are noticed by users. The solution is one of the world’s leading IT monitoring solutions.

Microsoft has updated the list of processors for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise

Microsoft has published an updated table of processors from 01.02.2019. Recall, based on the list of processors, the cost of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise * is calculated.

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is the most complete version of the operating system based on the Windows 10 kernel with advanced security and administration features.

What changed?

The A9 processors from AMD are in the Entry level, the Xeon E3-1225, E3-1501M, E3-1501L, E-2124G processors are now at the Value level. New Intel Core i9 processors belong to the High End level. Other processor models remained unchanged.

What is Windows 10 IoT Enterprise?

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is the most complete version of the operating system based on the Windows 10 kernel with advanced security and administration features. Since Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is technically identical to Windows 10 Enterprise, the device manufacturer and end user can use the same tools to manage and administer both personal computers (laptops) and specialized devices. But it should be noted that the licensing and distribution of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Windows 10 Enterprise are different. Embedded operating systems are designed to create various highly specialized devices. The main differences of highly specialized devices from universal devices include:

What is the level of service support for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise?

For Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 there are two options for LTSC and SAC service support.

LTSC (Long Term Service Channel) – the most popular option for highly specialized devices. As part of the 10-year LTSC support for the operating system, only security updates are released. Functional updates that add various new functions to the operating system or interface changes within LTSC are not released.

SAC (Semi-Annual Channel) is an analogue of desktop OS for workstations. Demanded in specific scenarios when you need an EDGE browser, Cortana voice assistant or Windows Store. For SAC, both security updates and major functional updates are issued 2 times a year.

Licensing of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019

The licensing model for the new Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 is similar to the licensing of previous versions and is optimized as much as possible for device manufacturers. В Киеве прошел Event-практикум

«День Встраиваемых Технологий Windows Embedded / IoT»

          В Киеве прошел ежегодный Event-практикум, посвященный Windows 10 IoT Enterprise «День Встраиваемых Технологий Windows Embedded / IoT». Организаторам выступила компания «AXOFT Украина».

Мероприятие проводилось в рамках серии практических лабораторных занятий по Windows 10 IoT Enterprise проходящих в ряде стран городов СНГ и Грузии. Киев не стал исключением и мероприятие посетили представители более чем 15-ти компаний производителей оборудования с использованием встраиваемых технологий линейки Microsoft Windows.

На Event-практикум выступали спикеры Александр Гладкий и Владимир Борисенков из компании «Кварта Технологии», ключевой игрок рынка встраиваемых систем (дистрибутор Microsoft Windows Embedded/IoT), а также спикер Роман Черненький из компании «Trend Micro», компания-разработчик ПО для кибербезопасности. 

                   

На мероприятии были рассмотрены особенности встраиваемых ОС, а также тонкости настроек операционной системы Windows 10 IoT Enterprise. Операционная система Windows 10 IoT Enterprise содержит в себе ряд специальных возможностей, позволяющей сделать устройство более надежным и защищенным, убрать ненужные функции, предотвратить случайные или преднамеренные воздействия пользователя. Кроме этого, на практикуме были рассмотрены вопросы лицензирования и особенности поддержки Windows 10 IoT.

                 

В тоже время компания «Trend Micro» предложила слушателям решения Safe Lock  и TippingPoint для встраиваемых систем. Решение Safe Lock призвано удовлетворить потребность в безопасности для сред Industry 4.0 путем защиты промышленных систем безопасности (ICS) с помощью уникального набора технологий, не требующих частых изменений или обновлений. Программное обеспечение Trend Micro Safe Lock предназначено для защиты банкоматов, терминалов и другого оборудования, работает по принципу контроля «белых списков» приложений, разрешённых к запуску на устройстве, а также имеет ряд функций для защиты от хакерских атак. В свою очередь платформа Trend Micro TippingPoint обеспечивает всеобъемлющую защиту от изощренных и трудно обнаружимых атак на дата-центры и распределительные корпоративные сети. Платформа использует статистические методы машинного обучения, чтобы, по определенным признакам, на основе извлеченных сетевых данных, в режиме реального времени принимать решения о том, заражен ли сетевой трафик или нет.

Стоит отметим, что спикеры и участники Event-практикума выложились на полную и событие получилось достаточно интересными, динамичными и полезными для участников.
