The main actors are strong, and while some of the twists will make your jaw drop (the professor can't see the Degas is a fake, though the audience can! Alec Baldwin is a great comedian (30 ROCK proves it), but he's also a fine dramatic actor, and he's very good here, as a mysterious doctor who disrupts the lives of a nice college professor (Bill Pullman) and his wife (Nicole Kidman) when he becomes a lodger in their Boston home.

Wow, is he sexy! It's fun because you know who the bad guys are, and you think you've figured the movie out and then it just keeps going. Suffice to say that I've known a few surgeons who come pretty close to Dr Jed Hill. Buy and enjoy. This is a strangely under-rated film but is one of my favourites, mainly for the quality of Aaron Sorkin's writing.
