ABC Managing Director David Anderson has congratulated the present and former employees who have received awards in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list.They include former ABC foreign correspondent Sean Dorney (AO), the late Newcastle radio presenter Jill Emberson (OAM), current ABC Radio Gippsland presenter Craig Bush (OAM) and ABC Radio Newcastle presenter Aaron Kearney (OAM).“This recognition is a result not only of the contribution ABC employees make to the community through their broadcasting but also the work and support they provide in other ways,” Mr Anderson said.“Sean Dorney’s four-decade career as an ABC correspondent in the Pacific is unrivalled by any other Australian.
