60 kilometres north of Katherine off the Stuart Highway is (Leilyn) Edith Falls, a series of cascading waterfalls and crystal clear rock pools on the western side Nitmiluk National Park.. Nitmiluk’s diverse landscape ranges from lush green in the wet season (November - April), to harsh brown during the dry season (May – October). There was a rocky island in the middle of the pool, and the bottom pool was open to swimming. Loved the morning tea/dinner stops, Edith Falls stop lunch (really nice) and the cruise down the Katherine Gorge with it's passionate informative guide so well done! You do have to be prepared for an extra long day because there are many kilometers covered.The return bus trip was tiring, but had stops for morning tea(or b/feast) & night meal at a roadhouse/restaurant along the way which served good food & bar drinks if required.
