The release of Windows Embedded 8 Standard is available in a single edition, and Windows Embedded Standard 7 has three editions with different capabilities.
The maximum equipment. You can work with all standard Windows applications, including those designed for the touch screen and multi-touch gestures. OS protects and encrypts your data.
Suitable for corporate use in the organization. Includes all the features of the P edition, but does not contain standard Windows applications and does not know how to work with the touch screen.
Repeats the capabilities of the editorial E and additionally knows how to organize a home network and streaming music and video. Due to this, it is mainly used in consumer multimedia devices. In addition to functional limitations, the WS7C has licensing restrictions.
The development tool for Windows Embedded Standard 8 is free – you only pay for the finished OS instances. The development tools for Standard 7 and Standard 2009 are paid.

Before installation, carefully read the download description, installation and activation rules. Do not use trial versions of the development tool to create a working OS image.
With the Windows Embedded Standard license, you will receive a reusable product key. One such key is activated by thousands of devices, so you do not need to enter a new key for each copy of the OS.
The releases of Windows Embedded Standard 7 and Standard 2009 do not need to be activated after the installation. You save time and simplify the deployment process.
